Doorndraai Dam must be one of the most beautifull waters in the world. The current South African Record Carp of 65lbs was caught here during a marathon session that produced 2 other 60's also. 50 million cubic metres of water is home to literally thousands of monster Carp averaging around 25lbs. Once you get onto the fish here, be prepared for the ultimate in wild water Carping. Monster Common's of 40, 50 & 60 lbs is not uncommon here.. African Big Carp Holidays has an exclusive bank on this 11km long water where fishing pressure is very low. A very exciting all-round venue.

Furthermore, Doorndraai Dam is situated inside a nature reserve and frequent visits by animals (Giraffe, Kudu, Warthog, Zebra etc) to your swim is not unusual. Big 5 game drives can also be arranged at nearby reserves.

Klaserie Dam (Gallery)

This water is legendary in terms of adventure Carp fishing holidays. Most of the older photos in our gallery was taken at Klaserie. Known for its magnificent Mirror Carp: Short, fat & stocky! Many UK and other European Carp fishing legends have all had a go at this water with great success. Simon Crow still refers to Klaserie as one of his most memorable fishing experiences ever. Simon's PB Mirror comes from Klaserie at 55lb 8oz. Recently this water was stocked with some common's which are already hitting 40lbs+ This water contains a very high natural food source which produces incredible growth rates.

Another big advantage of this water is that the Kruger National Park is right on your doorstep. This 19633 square kilometre reserve must be one of the most awe-inspiring wildlife reserves in the world. The Big 5 as well as millions of other animals roam this unspoilt African terrain freely.

Tzaneen Dam (Gallery)

This water is as wild as it gets! Situated near the town of Tzaneen in the North-Eastern Limpopo Province. This massive water with a capacity of 158 million cubic metres is home to some of the hardest fighting monster Carp in the world. The potential of this water is incredible, some believe world record Carp resides here and we won't be surprised if this is the case. This place is wild, do not expect any luxuries here!

As with Klaserie, this water is also near the Kruger National Park.
